In 1945, administrators asked returning veterans if they would be willing to attend classes at Florida State College for Women (FSCW) in Tallahassee.		   Physician's Journal In 1843, Dr. John M. W. Davidson of Gadsden County began recording medical recipes and treatments in a small, leather-bound notebook.

The oldest item in the State Archives of Florida, this engraved, hand-colored map or view-plan by Baptista Boazio depicts Sir Francis Drake's attack on Saint Augustine on May 28 and 29, 1586.
