This first act of Florida's
Territorial Legislature in 1822 divided the territory into four counties
and established local courts. This act is from a series containing the
original acts, resolutions, and memorials of the Territorial Legislature
(1822-1844) and State Legislature (1845-ongoing). The acts were filed
with the Secretary of the Territory prior to 1845 and then with Secretary
of State after statehood according to Chapter 15.07, Florida Statutes.
