Biographical Note
The Whitehouse was built in 1880 by William Richard Wilson, son of David C. Wilson who founded Wilson's Department Store. In 1912 George E. and Sarah D. Lewis bought the property. It was sold in 1928 to Irwin Gates and in 1944 to Nellie Hammond. Elise Ashler now owns the house and it has been converted for offices.
