General Note
Boltin was known as "The Queen of Florida Folklife" and was the director of the Florida Folk Festival from 1955-1986. Sarah Knott was the festival director for its first two years (1953-1954). She had previously been founder of the National Folk Festival. Dr. Alton Morris was a nationally recognized folklorist. Hodges assisted in the creation of the Stephen Foster Memorial in White Springs.
