Angela Davis is a political activist who was involved with the Black Panther Party and Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. She was linked to the murder of Judge Harold Haley but was acquitted of these charges. She was once a prominent member in the Communist Party but now identifies herself as a Democratic Socialist. She currently is a professor at University of California.
