• The presidents of three of Florida's universities confer during a break in the proceedings of a Board of Regents Committee on Student Publications. L-R: President Cecil Mackey of the University of South Florida, President Stanley Marshall of Florida State University, and President Stephen O'Connell of University of Florida. The committee is trying to come up with a recommendation on whether or not student newspapers should be supported by state funds or perhaps run like any other newspaper.
