General Note
The sign reads: "Miami Seaquarium. Home of Flipper." It is not clear whether this dolphin is Flipper or not.
Several dolphins portrayed Flipper, starting with the original 1963 film. In that film, Mitzi (of Santini's Porpoise School) portrayed the eponymous dolphin. She was discovered by Flipper creator Ricou Browning. He later followed up with a television series (1964-1967) produced by Ivan Tors Studios. On that TV series, Flipper was played by five female dolphins and one male dolphin. Those dolphins were featured at various Florida attractions.
