Located on Wilson Avenue between Iowa and Boulevard Streets. Part of Bartow's early civic center.
Constructed in the mid 1930s. Mrs. Spessard L. Holland, who was very active in the Parent-Teacher Association urged the building of the pool.
Center consisted of a field stone building with an auditorium, kitchen, and meeting rooms, the pool, a playground area with equipment, and a picnic ground.
Replaced by new Bartow civic center which was built in 1967. Building was used as overflow space by the county school board.
