General Note
Born in Florida in 1827. Moved to Alabama and then to Vernon, Florida. He enlisted in the Confederate Army on September 13, 1861 when he was 34 years old. He signed up for 12 months of duty with Company H of the 4th Florida Infantry. He was assigned to Fort Williams, Fernandina and Camp Langford. He was listed as a Fifth Sergeant and musician. Wounded at Murfreesboro, Tennessee on January 2, 1863. Discharged on January 24, 1863. His children included Mattie Jane born in 1856, Bryant Hampton born in 1858, Georgiana born in 1854, Elizabeth born in 1864 and Daniel born in 1874. Henry John Hall died about 1895.
