Taken on 20 March 1999 during an Archaeology Month lecture series, organized by Ranger Nelson. Milanich is being presented with gifts for donating his time. The lectures were held at the Sarabay Center on the south end of Big Talbot Island. Dr. Milanich, author of numerous Florid archaeology books, was speaking on his recently published book, Laboring in the Fields of the Lord: Spanish Missions and Southeastern Indians. The site of the lecture was once part of the Spanish mission, Sarabay.
