Committee on Transportation Routes to the Seaboard.
U.S. Senate, April 11, 1873
Resolved, That with the view of facilitating their investigations, the Select Committee on
Transportation Routes to the Seaboard respectfully request that State governments, boards of trade,
chambers of commerce, railroad and canal companies, and other corporations or person engaged or
interested in transportation, furnish to said committee such documents, facts, and statistics relating to
the internal or foreign commerce of the United States, as may be in their possession, or conveniently
accessible, and that such communications be addressed to Hon. Wm. Windom, Chairman of the
Senate Committee on Transportation, at Washington, D.C.
