Governor Crist later proposed to Carole Rome on July 3, 2008. They were married on December 12, 2008.
L-R: Lobbyist Brian Ballard of Tallahassee, Carole Rome, Governor Crist and at the right is Marti Huizenga (Her husband owned 50% of the Miami Dolphins football team until January 2009 when he sold all but 5% to Stephen Ross. He was also the initial owner of the Florida Marlins baseball team and the Florida Panthers hockey team).
