Martinez discusses emigrating from Cuba to Florida in 1962; making cigars; cigar factories in South Florida; the cigar making process; lectors (people who read out loud while workers rolled cigars); gender roles in the business; and the differences in Tampa and Miami cigars. Excerpts from the interview can be found on T80-94. Interview conducted for a slide/tape program on Cuban-Americans, a copy of which can be found on T80-95.
