  • This film is a production by the Sunshine Network. It shows the dedication of the LeRoy Collins Library (Leon County Public Library) in Tallahassee. The video begins with a short history of Gov. LeRoy Collins' achievements, and then moves to the dedication. Marjorie Turnbull, Leon County Commissioner and cochairman of the Collins Commemorative Commission, was spokesperson for the event. There were many distinguished speakers, including former Florida governors Reubin Askew, Bob Graham, Bob Martinez, and the current governor, Lawton Chiles. Manny Joanos, Leon County Commissioner; Steve Uhlfelder, cochairman of the Collins Commemorative Commissioner; Janet Reno, US Attorney General; and Mrs. LeRoy Collins also speak.
