Appeal from Franklin Superior Court

To the honorable court of Appeals- The Petition of John E. seaman by his Proctors Semmes and Davis Showeth:

That at the last session of the court below from which this appeal is taken- and order if appraisement was made by the said court and appraises appraiser appointed to appraise the said Schooner and Cargo- who proceeded to do so and made their report according to the law, which is part of the record filed in this court, and now the petitioner states it to this honorable court that owning to the want of knowledge on that part of the appraiser of the merchandise forming the said cargo which they now appointed to appraisal - (they being by profession seaman and the cargo compound of any goods) the said appraiser in their estimate fell fort short of the real value of the said cargo.

And the petition states further of his number on the said cargo is with a much larger sum that it was estimated at by the said appraiser.
