Dignitaries from Nassau were flown to Miami, by PAA in 1929 when the pioneer, international airline dedicated its 36th street land airport in Miami. Harry Rogers, piloted the S-38, which flew the Nassau dignitaries. Shown (L-R): Hon. W.K. Moose, member of the Nassau government; Lt. E.V. Mannders-Smith, ADC to the governor; Sir Charles Orr, governor of the Bahamas; Sir George Gamblin, president of the legislative council; Lady Orr; Hon. A.K. Solomon, member of the government; A.H. Sands, member of the House of Assembly and of the Nassau Development Board.
