Biographical Note
Restoring a genuine Stainer violin (Jacobus) originally made in 1648. There is visual evidence, discovered by Mr. Reed, of at least four craftsmen having restored this violin in the past. Stainer was one of the greatest German violin makers who ever lived, his work being on par with the Italian masters and at the time of Stradavari , the most sought after.
