Factory was located at 2303 Market Street.
Later known as Huttig Building Products, the company began in 1866 in Muscatine, Iowa as a lumber company by two German immigrants, Charles and William Huttig. In 1885, the two began constructing and distributing doors and sashes across the nation. The Jacksonville branch of the Huttig Sash and Door Company opened in 1923.
