General Note
Opened in 1912. Converted to a motion picture house in 1915. Closed in 1967. Reopened in 1998 by Rex & Cleo Partington. Began showing movies in 2004 for the 1st time in 37 years, and did so in conjunction with live professional theater productions and music.
The district, roughly bounded by the Apalachicola River, Apalachicola Bay, 17th and Jefferson Sts., was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
